Fully equipped resonator guitar with pickup in an appealing vintage design
A curly maple and a cone resonator produce the distinctive sound.
Construction and sound
Thanks to its curly maple body and solid curly maple top, the Ortega RRG50CE-SSB delivers a high level of assertiveness and a very pronounced sustain. The trebles and mids in particular are extremely well articulated. The distinctive aluminum cone resonator lends the characteristic overtone-rich twang and also increases the sound volume for a successful stage performance. Thanks to the built-in single cone, the sound develops quickly and is long-lasting.
Compact guitar with a handy design.
Playability
In addition to its unique sound, the guitar impresses with its comfortable handling. Its curly maple neck with ebony fingerboard sits comfortably in the hand and, thanks to a nut width of 43 mm, fulfills the necessary requirements for flatpicking and strumming. The generous cutaway, which provides access to the high registers, and the shortened scale length of 628 mm for a soft grip on the strings should also be emphasized.
