With the PRS Custom 24-08 Dark Emerald Green, Paul Reed Smith once again proves that they understand the art of traditional guitar building and the impressive presentation of premium woods. For example, the electric guitar features an intensely grained flamed maple top whose stunning pattern is accentuated by the striking Emerald Green finish. In addition, solid mahogany is used for the body and Pattern Thin neck, which carries a rosewood fingerboard with bird inlays and is resonantly glued to the body. Furthermore, two PRS 85/15 humbuckers and the sophisticated PRS 408 circuit with two separate coil split mini switches provide for tonal diversity on the amplifier.
For the construction of the PRS Custom 24-08 Paul Reed Smith uses selected woods with best vibration characteristics, which become a unique electric guitar through flawless processing. The body is made of solid mahogany, while the impressive grain of the curly maple top is perfectly highlighted by the Emerald Green Finish finish. In addition, the Pattern Thin mahogany neck is attached to the body via a solid glue joint with a flat neck heel. With this combination, the electric guitar has a lively, brilliant primary tone.
In the construction of the PRS 24-08, PRS Guitars also places great emphasis on perfect playing comfort. Accordingly, the neck has the comfortable "Pattern Thin " profile, which corresponds to a modern "C" shape with a thickness of just 19.8 mm below the first fret and nestles in the hand with its perfect curves. With 42.9 mm nut width, the rosewood fingerboard also offers sufficient space for a clean fingering, with the familiar PRS Bird inlays providing the best orientation between the 24 frets.
The PRS Custom 24-08 Charcoal Blue Burst features high-quality hardware with a classic nickel finish that blends harmoniously with the elegant design. On the body, the proven PRS Gen III tremolo system is used as a bridge, which convinces with its smooth handling and allows the embellishment of melodies and chords with gently shimmering modulations. With its smooth surface, it also provides the strumming hand with a comfortable resting surface for certain playing techniques. With the classic PRS scale length of exactly 25" (635 mm), the strings run from the bridge towards the headstock, where they are guided with a straight pull to the PRS Phase III locking tun ers. Due to their semi-open housing and the low weight, they skilfully counteract head heaviness and at the same time convince with absolute tuning precision and easy string changes.
At the amplifier, the Paul Reed Smith Custom 24-08 convinces with its versatile sound, which delivers the right timbre for every style of music. The electrical sound conversion is done by two PRS 85/15 humbuckers in the neck and bridge position. Developed for the 30th anniversary of the company from Stevensville, both pickups convince with a particularly clear sound, which offers the perfect basis for classical and modern playing styles with extended basses and trebles. Each humbucker also has a mini-switch that can be used to split it into a single-coil without any fluctuations in volume. Furthermore, there is a 3-way blade switch as well as Master Volume and Master Tone controls.
