Only carefully selected tonewoods are used in the construction of the Custom 24 Gray Black, resulting in a refined and expressive sound character. The body is crafted from select mahogany, while the solid curly maple top displays a strong and evenly figured flame. The glued mahogany neck with its well contoured Pattern Regular profile strikes an ideal balance between a substantial feel and effortless playability. A rosewood fingerboard with classic bird inlays provides clear orientation across all 24 frets.

PRS 85/15 humbucker for versatile sound options

The PRS Custom 24 is equipped with two PRS 85/15 humbuckers, personally developed by Paul Reed Smith to mark the company’s 30th anniversary. These pickups are known for their clarity and extended frequency range, offering a solid foundation for both classic and modern tones. From warm and sparkling clean sounds to singing overdrive and powerful riffs, they cover a wide sonic spectrum with ease.

The 5-way switch can be used to call up furthermore different circuit combinations for different sound nuances:

• Position 1: Bridge humbucker
• Position 2: Bridge humbucker and split neck humbucker in parallel
• Position 3: bridge and neck humbucker
• Position 4: split bridge humbucker and split neck humbucker in parallel
• Position 5: neck humbucker

The specification of the Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 Gray Black is completed by premium in house hardware. On the body, the proven PRS Gen III tremolo ensures smooth operation, excellent functionality and a comfortable feel thanks to its rounded edges. At the headstock, the strings follow a straight pull from the nut to the PRS Phase III locking tuners, which provide exceptional tuning stability even with frequent tremolo use and make string changes quick and easy. The PRS Custom 24 is supplied in an elegant PRS case, offering optimal protection during transport.
