The Taiga Keyboard represents an evolution of the already award-winning Taiga synthesizer. By adapting to the keyboard instrument format, an optimized arrangement of the controls and the integration of larger knobs, sound generation during live performances is noticeably simplified. Furthermore, two new modulation sources, additional control options, a high-quality 37-key keyboard with aftertouch and an innovative slot for Eurorack modules enrich the instrument.
The sound waves generated by the Taiga keyboard's three oscillators surpass conventional analogue synthesis shapes and sounds. With up to three unique waveshapers connected in series, the waveforms can be fine-tuned in their symmetry and harmonic richness. In addition, each oscillator offers a sophisticated six-stage waveshaper that further expands the sonic variety and depth of the instrument. With special coarse and fine-tuning, the pitch of each oscillator can be precisely controlled.
The delay is completely analog and offers a dark and deep delay that blends in well with the original signal and enriches it musically. It can be adjusted as desired using the "Rain", "Time" and "Mix" parameters.
A special feature of the PITTSBURGH TAIGA Keyboard is the ability to expand the system with one or more modules up to 24HP. Additional oscillators or a different filter? Personalize the sound of the Taiga according to your wishes!
The characteristic Pittsburgh filter, which plays a key role in shaping the brand's sound character, offers a smooth, balanced sound and has been refined even further. It provides a warm modulation across the entire frequency spectrum, with a characteristic resonance that persists in the lower frequencies. This filter is designed to work in perfect harmony with the Taiga keyboard's oscillators.
The Dynamics technology gives the Taiga Keyboard an incomparable organic dynamic and presence. The Pittsburgh Dynamics Controller goes beyond conventional VCA controls by utilizing developments from the field of low-pass gates. This makes it possible to add definition and dimension to the Taiga keyboard's voice.
Without the need for patch cables, the Taiga Keyboard offers instant access to sound design. For advanced users, a 64-point patch panel opens the door to a fully modular experience, with access to an even wider range of functions and tools. A Eurorack-compatible slot also allows the instrument to be customized to suit personal sound and performance preferences.
With its integrated 37-key keyboard, which includes aftertouch, pitch bend and modwheel, the Taiga Keyboard also serves as a stand-alone USB/Din MIDI controller. The ability to adjust the range with octave up/down buttons rounds off the instrument's versatile spectrum.
