This is made possible by the new SoundID Binaural In-Ear Measurement Microphone, which captures your individual hearing characteristics and the acoustics of your room and makes them usable as a detailed sound profile in SoundID Reference.

Ultra-precise measurement - the new SoundID Binaural In-Ear Mic

The heart of the system is the specially developed binaural in-ear microphone, which takes your individual ear shape into account and thus makes the simulation truly personalized.
The high-resolution measurement (20 Hz - 20 kHz) enables

an authentic, three-dimensional representation of the room
precise monitoring that feels natural and familiar
an unprecedented mix translation, because your room sound is reproduced exactly

Internet connection for license validation (offline operation not possible)
USB-C port with USB 3.0 or higher (for the binaural measurement microphone)
For the measurement an audio interface with:
- Independent outputs for speakers and headphones
- Sampling rate fixed at 44.1 kHz during the measurement
For playback:
- any sampling rate between 44.1 and 196 kHz supported
- the over-ear headphones used for the measurement
