The perfect Channel Strip doesn't exi...

Not at all - with the Core Mixing Suite, Softube presents the perfect addition for all Console 1 users who don't want to do without first-class sound. The software can be used with both MK I and MK II hardware and provides you with many sections including processors for targeted sound processing. Benefit from the sound of top-class soundsmiths such as Tube-Tech, Solid State Logic, Chandler Limited and Weiss Engineering, whose personal touch is also incorporated.

The sound

Thanks to the collaboration with the aforementioned "rock & Roll scientists", the Mixing Suite gives you the top quality you expect from a real mixing console. On board are award-winning Tape, Bus Processor and FET Compressor plug-ins that could hardly sound more authentic.

The Flow

More than 20 years of listening, analysis and modelling experience have gone into the Core Mixing Suite. The Softube team has learned from experience and from talking to users how much the workflow influences the sound and how damn important it is to make it perfect. A turn of a knob must "feel right" and the action must harmonize with the change in sound. That's why the Core Mixing Suite gives you more editing options than most of your tracks will ever need.

The sections

Tape

The Tape section softens the transients and gives your track more polish and cohesion. The algorithm is the same as Softube's famous Tape plug-in and uses the default setting (Type A with 15 IPS) with no audible tape modulation

Filters

The filter section consists of low-pass and high-pass Butterworth filters with selectable slopes (6, 12, 18, 24 and 48 dB / octave). They were developed to be able to work surgically and to keep the effects on the sound as low as possible - in short: maximum "flat" and "linear phase".

Shape

With Core Shape, Core Panner and Core Dual Dynamics, you can address various problem areas: from sound shaping with gating, expansion and compression to transient shaping and mono-compatible binaural panning.

Equalizer

Also on board are two different EQs for different purposes. The gentle and musical Vintage Equalizer is ideal for rough adjustments to balance the mix. The modern Equalizer is precise,
flexible and ideal for corrections.

Compressors

What would a mixing suite be without compressors: here you'll find FET, Opto and Bus versions that are perfect for Vocal chains. Or take advantage of the two slots per track.

Drive

Core Drive was developed to breathe life into your tracks. Get a nice saturation of the mids, make the highs sound crisper or make the Bass hum.
