The Solid Gold FX 76 is an analogue octave fuzz for electric guitar or electric bass whose sound character is based on the Japanese classics of the genre. The analogue circuitry offers a pure Germanium mode with the typical soft tone characteristics and a Germanium-Silicon-Hybrid mode with sharpened sound contours and juicy crunch. In addition to the Fuzz control for adjusting the degree of distortion, the Solid Gold FX 76 also features a Texture control and Color Switch for precise adjustment of the midrange character of the sound.
