Smart reverb design with intelligent signal processing
With smart:reverb 2, Sonible presents a reverb plugin that combines artificial intelligence with a unique multi-track concept. The aim is to create an optimally adapted reverb effect in the shortest possible time that fits seamlessly into any arrangement. By adaptively analyzing the audio material, the plugin creates a tailor-made reverb structure - automatically adjusted to the tonality and dynamics of the source.
Intelligent reverb calculation thanks to AI analysis
At the heart of the plugin is an intelligent learning process: after selecting a source profile and a short listening process, smart:reverb 2 analyzes the audio material and generates a reactive reverb response. This adapts to the signal not only in terms of sound, but also spatially, without masking important details. The naturalness of the sound is retained.
The Reverb matrix: Four reverb worlds seamlessly combined
A central design element is the reverb matrix, which allows infinite crossfading between four reverb styles: Room, Hall, Plate and Spring. Each style has its own tonal characteristics - from a natural room sound to a vintage sound with a strong character. The result is a versatile sound palette that can be shaped intuitively.
Main parameters for targeted room design
The reverberation can be specifically adjusted with just five parameters:
Size regulates the perceived room size
Distance influences the depth gradation
Width determines the stereo width
Color shapes the frequency response
Clarity maintains the intelligibility of the direct signal
These parameters have a deep impact on the reverb engine and allow precise spatial placement of each signal in the mix.
Group Mode: Multi-track reverb rethought
Group mode reveals its full potential, especially for complex productions. Several plug-in instances on different tracks communicate with each other and exchange parameter data and analysis results. This reduces masking effects and creates a homogeneous sense of space across the entire arrangement. Control is centralized and convenient via a single interface.
Creative functions for sound design and mixing
In addition to classic reverb functions, smart:reverb 2 offers several creative tools:
Reverse, Infinite and Bounce modes for experimental sound design
Manual override for frequency-specific ducking and targeted emphasis of frequency ranges
Mono Below for bass centering in the mix
Wet mode for use in aux buses
