With Sonicware’s deconstruct Minimal, the name says it all: there’s plenty of everything to cover genres such as techno, house, acid, dub techno and all minimal styles, without the offering feeling overloaded. This compact all-in-one groovebox features a sample-based drum machine (130 sounds / 16 drum kits), a 4-track sampler that also supports time-stretch, repitch and crossfade loops, and an analogue-modelled bass synth with a low-pass filter and overdrive. Together with the 11-track sequencer and the effects section featuring an isolator, filter, distortion, delay and reverb, you have all the ingredients you need to programme driving grooves and genre-defining basslines! The built-in speaker, along with the option of battery operation (6x AA batteries), is ideal for anyone who wants to make music on the go. MIDI and audio are transmitted via USB-C, enabling direct recording into a DAW. Switchable MIDI/Sync inputs and outputs are provided for connecting to other equipment.

Sequencer

The 11-track sequencer, complete with a stereo loop track, can be programmed live or step-by-step in the TR grid and has a memory capacity of 128 patterns, each of which can be up to 64 steps long. Recording parameter locks brings life and variety to the patterns. The analogue-modelling bass synth can be played and programmed conveniently using the 27 mini-keys. With the Step Randomiser, the programmed notes in the pattern are triggered randomly rather than sequentially. In addition, Phrase Rotation allows you to shift all the set steps on a track until they fit. Pattern Chain links adjacent patterns in the classic TR style.
