The Echo Express SE I TB5 is the elegant solution for anyone who wants to use the computing power of modern Macs, Windows or Linux computers but is reliant on genuine PCIe expansion. You can connect a powerful PCIe card directly to your computer via Thunderbolt 5 and get back exactly the connections and functions that are missing in the compact computer housing. Ideal for studios, post-production, broadcast or demanding audio and video workflows.

Thunderbolt 5 meets PCIe performance

Inside, a PCIe 4.0 x8 slot with up to 6000 MB per second bidirectional bandwidth. This is significantly more than Thunderbolt 3 or 4 and is immediately noticeable when cards with high data throughput are used. Video capture cards, professional audio interfaces, fast network cards or RAID controllers run noticeably smoothly and without bottlenecks.

Space for real professional cards

The housing accommodates full-height PCIe cards up to a length of 7.75 inches and also offers space for cards with a daughterboard. There is also space for Double Width solutions from the pro video or audio sector, as long as they are Thunderbolt-compatible non-GPU cards. An additional PCIe power supply is integrated so that even power-hungry cards run stably.

Quietly built for the studio

Quiet counts in the studio. The Echo Express SE I TB5 is made for just that. The temperature-regulated fan control ensures efficient cooling with minimal noise development. Even under load, the system remains pleasantly unobtrusive and is perfect for recording rooms, control rooms and edit suites.

Sophisticated connections and secure connection

In addition to the Thunderbolt connection to the computer, a second Thunderbolt port is also available. This can be used to loop through additional Thunderbolt or USB devices or to connect a high-resolution display. Up to 15 watts of bus power are available for connected peripherals. The ThunderLok system supplied reliably secures the Thunderbolt cable against accidental disconnection, a small detail with great practical benefits.
