5 Gigabit Ethernet for fast workflows
The Sonnet Solo5G USB-C to 5 Gigabit Ethernet adapter adds a high-performance network connection with speeds of up to 5 Gbit/s to Macs, Windows PCs and Linux computers. Particularly when working with large audio projects, sample libraries, video files or backups, the significantly higher bandwidth ensures noticeably shorter transfer times. The only requirement is a multi-gigabit switch or router with NBASE-T support. Existing network cables (Cat 5e or higher) can continue to be used, so no new cabling is required.
Continue to use existing infrastructure
The adapter supports the NBASE-T standard and operates at 5 Gbit/sas well as the lower speeds of 2.5 Gbit/s, 1 Gbit/s and 100 Mbit/s. This allows the Solo5G to be easily integrated into existing networks and automatically adapts to the existing infrastructure. Transmission distances of up to 100 metres are possible with Cat 5e or higher-grade network cables.
Simply plug it in and get started straight away
The Sonnet Solo5G connects to the computer via USB-C or Thunderbolt and requires neither a separate power supply nor any driver installation. Support is already built into macOS, Windows and Linux. Network settings can be conveniently configured using the respective operating system tools. This makes the adapter equally suitable for both desktop and mobile use.
