The Sonnet Thunderbolt 5 cable with a length of 1 metre was developed for demanding data, video and power transmissions. It enables the use of the latest Thunderbolt 5 technologies and offers high transfer rates for professional applications in the areas of content creation, video editing, graphic design and data backup. Thanks to the USB C connectors, the cable can be flexibly connected to a wide range of modern devices.

High data rates for large projects

With bidirectional data transfer of up to 80 Gbit/s, the Sonnet Thunderbolt 5 cable is suitable for the fast transfer of large files such as 4K and 8K video material, high-resolution image archives or extensive 3D projects. Compared to Thunderbolt 4, twice the bandwidth is available, allowing workflows to be organised more efficiently.

The cable also supports a video bandwidth of up to 120 Gbit/s, providing the basis for modern multi-display setups with high resolutions and refresh rates.

Support for high-resolution displays

The Thunderbolt 5 cable enables the connection of powerful monitor systems for professional workstations. One 4K display with up to 540 Hz, two 8K displays with up to 60 Hz or three 4K displays with up to 144 Hz are supported.

Universal compatibility with USB C devices

In addition to Thunderbolt 5, the cable is fully compatible with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB4 and USB C devices. It can be used with notebooks, docking stations, external SSDs, audio interfaces, monitors and other accessories.

Power supply with up to 240 watts

The Sonnet Thunderbolt 5 cable supports a power transfer of up to 240 watts via USB Power Delivery 3.1. This means that powerful laptops, mobile workstations and other compatible devices can be supplied with power via a single cable and data and video signals can be transmitted at the same time.
