VID PIX by Sound Study is a module that uses incoming audio signals to change stored video patterns. In concept it is an improved version of the 1977 "Atari Video Music" graphics generator. Four sets with a selection of patterns, short sequences, images and fonts (Digital Diamonds 1 & 2, 8-Bit Nostalgia, Character Assassination) can be selected manually or automatically. The generated images always follow the incoming audio material, adjustments can be made at any time with the SENS control. For the selection of patterns and colors there are two Gate inputs, which cause a change of the graphics depending on the gate length. If you love coarse pixelated graphics with a lot of retro charm you will have a lot of fun with this module. Whether as a visual sidekick in Studio or as part of the performance on stage, VID PIX delivers moving images to match the music that you haven't seen in a long time.
