The T-Rex Fueltank Chameleon is a versatile effects pedal power supply that offers a range of features, that make it a great choice for players with a wide range of diverse pedals. The five outputs, each with 300mA, can output a choice of 9V DC, 2V DC, 112V AC or 18VDC -150mA. Output 5 and 6 have a choice of just 9/12V DC or 12V DC. These outputs feature noise cancelling, galvanic isolation.
The T-Rex Fueltank Chameleon also has a current doubler with the possibility of having as much as 600mA. It's compact and rugged design means it can handle touring and being on the road. T-Rex recommend that this pedal is placed in the last part of your chain, close to analog/drive pedals. This is to get the clearest sound and reduce noise interference in the signal chain.
The main features of the T-Rex Fueltank Chameleon include:
5 outputs each with 300 mA ( = 1500 mA)
Output 5/6 choice of either 9/12v DC or 12v AC
Choice of 9V DC, 12V DC, 112V AC or 18VDC -150mA
Noise-cancelling galvanic isolated outputs
Traditional EI Transformer
Several different voltage types served
Current doubler = the possibility of as much as 600 mA
I am really enjoying this new addition to my pedal board. Finally an end to the countless 9v batteries (and Cs for my Line 6 DL4, yes it has a 12v ac input and special cable specifically for most line 6 stomp boxes)! The package comes with everything that one would need to get their pedals some juice. A word of caution before daisy chaining, is to make sure that every pedal in the chain does not go beyond 300mA. There is a very helpful--yet tedious video on youtube (done by one of T-Rexs fine Denmark spokesmen) regarding this pedal that will help one understand how to use this product better than I am capable of explaining. The construction is solid. The powering options are versatile and it comes with a variety of cables (so you wont need to purchase any additional daisy chains and etc) I love this product and highly recommend it!
This unit was the last one added to my pedalboard. Its very flexible, operates very smoothly without any harsh or noise and can supply different kind of pedals. There are outputs for 9V, 12V or 18V and each one of the outputs can be set via a switch on the right part of the unit.
