TC-Helicon Play Acoustic

Bought this to replace my Boss pedal, this one is so much better.
The presets are great and sound like the records. I found it easy to navigate, and set your own sounds.
The pedal arrived pretty quickly, it even included a German music magazine, all I have to do now, is learn German.

This pedal arrived with me last Friday, I was really keen to use it having seen the demos online, the following 2 days turned our to be the most frustrating of my life. I suspect the demo people are given a fully programmed device to portray a seeming ease of use. In reality after 2 days of struggling with sluggish and in some cases non responsive buttons and really poor tutorial, even with the help of online programmes, I was not able to store a single usable setting. Now it may be that I was supplied with a faulty unit or the pedal requires far more time and patience than I can throw at it. In a performance environment, utmost simplicity is key and I feel this unit is not that simple, or as I said earlier. could be defective. In either case it isn't for me and the end result is a return for refund or exchange for a different brand. If some-one could mail me in this regard as soon as possible I would be very grateful.

I am very happy with the product, a TC Harmony Play Acoustic vocal harmoniser pedal, which was also shipped on time. I've given it quite a thorough testing and I'm very impressed with the usability and the quality of the harmonies and doubles are great. Even as a simple vocal enhancer (EQ and reverb etc) it is better than going straight through our PA.

I havent used it live yet and wont do so until I fix the UK plug issue. It has a European to UK external adaptor which is very clumsy and doesn't look stable in my pedal board. I have emailed support but after 3 days I am stall waiting for a response.

They actually sell a separate power supply that includes a 'proper' UK power sliding attachment but this wasnt included.

As someone who sings (a bit) and plays acoustic guitar (a lot) this is the wonder device that listens to your guitar playing and creates vocal harmonies that work with your voice and guitar. Wow. I will spend many many hours exploring this, but out of the box within an hour I could work through a short set list and choose presets that enhance the audio output. If you are a gigging acoustic guitarist/singer, a worship leader or just someone experimenting with home studio recordings, then this device is value for money.

It takes some time to adjust settings but possibilities are almost endless. Very good harmony engine. Harmonies are natural and not machine like. Very good sound. Bodyres is amazing.
I would like to have some effects for guitar (12-string simulation?). Also I would like to have possibility to enter looper mode with single button press in Switch 3. Right now I have to tap two buttons simultaneously and this is not very convenient in live situation.
