Tama BSQ5S Half Soft Sound BeaterA good idea this beater. I use it mainly on an electric kit as I want to improve my bass drum control without the rest of the household having to put up with the constct click click click sound. (I am using it headphones or just with the unit switched off ) It's almost silent on a mesh head and when tried on an acoustic bass drum draastically cuts down the volume. It appears to be well made, how long the foam pad lasts time will tell. Maybe Tama could supply replacement ones. Haven't tried it in a live situation yet.
