PJ116K Concert strings are true flatwound (not ‘ground wound’ or ‘compressed wound’), with a glassy smooth polished nickel winding on a round core. They have the perfect balance of fundamental to overtones required for traditional jazz concerts. Some players claim that the mellow, powerful tones actually improve with age.
