The Toontrack Transistor Organ EKX is an EZkeys 2 extension with transistor organ sounds, 40 presets and MIDI library.

Vintage vibe meets modern sound shaping

With the Transistor Organ EKX, Toontrack brings the characteristic sound of classic transistor organs directly into EZkeys 2. Instead of limiting itself to a single model, the focus here is on the entire sound of this era. That slightly biting, wiry tone that immediately asserts itself and has been firmly anchored in rock, pop, garage or reggae since the 50s. It is precisely this feeling that has been captured and rethought here.

The user interface of the Toontrack Transistor Organ EKX shows presets, sound selection and MIDI area within EZkeys 2 in detail.

A sensible combination of sampling and synthesis

The instrument is based on a mixture of sampled sounds from iconic organs and modern synthesis including modulation. The result is not a static image, but a flexible sound tool with significantly more scope. From direct and raw to flat and atmospheric, everything is possible without losing the typical character.

This works extremely well, especially in the context of modern productions. The sounds assert themselves in Mix, but remain malleable and musical at the same time.

Integrated MIDI library

The included MIDI library is a powerful feature. For each Preset there are suitable playing styles and phrases that are directly matched to the respective sound. This saves time when songwriting and immediately brings musical ideas to the project.

Over 40 presets with their own sound design approach

The presets cover a broad spectrum. Classic organ sounds are represented as well as distorted variants or multi-layered ambient textures with pad and string parts. Everything can be used directly and is tuned so that it works in the arrangement without much reworking. It's not just about recreation, but about further development.
