Voltage Multistage 16 is the logical further development of the popular first Voltage Multistage from Verbos Electronics. Compared to its predecessor, the 16 version offers twice as many sequencer steps for both CV rows, i.e. 16 instead of 8. In addition, each stage is now equipped with a stage Gate input; this makes it possible to selectively jump to a sequencer step, which also reduces the number of steps. The two control rows generate control voltages sequentially; the upper row can also deactivate Gate or activate Slide for each step using a toggle switch. Thanks to the many inputs and outputs, the module can also be patched with itself as an LFO, AD, respectively ADSR envelope, voltage quantizer or clock generator. The VM 16 is based on discrete transistor stages, which made it possible to integrate gate inputs on each stage. This makes it possible to jump to each stage with external Gates and start several Loops and sequences, which are then played later in a loop. The new sequencer core also recognises when it has switched to a new stage. So if strobe is latched and a varying CV signal changes the step, each time a new step is selected, a gate output signal and Slide will be output on row A instead of the Gate remaining permanently activated as before.
