An overview of the Dubler 2 software

Real-time voice-to-MIDI conversion

Dubler 2 is a software that converts voice to MIDI notes in real time, providing an innovative way to transfer musical ideas directly into a DAW. Instead of entering notes via a MIDI keyboard or programming drums manually, melodies, chords or rhythms can be created simply by humming, singing or beatboxing. The integrated AI technology analyses the pitch of the voice and converts it precisely into MIDI data.

The software offers various modes, including trigger mode, which recognises beatboxing and other percussive sounds, and pitch mode, which is suitable for key recognition and pitch bend effects. Chord mode enables the generation of polyphonic MIDI notes that automatically create the chords of a selected key. With 14 different chord modes, such as Major, Minor, Pentatonic or Blues, complex harmonies can be created.

It is also possible to generate MIDI CC data, for example, to modulate effects in the DAW or to control automation. Trigger, pitch and chord notes can be sent on different MIDI channels, which increases flexibility in production. The software is compatible with all common DAWs and supports the use of a dynamic microphone that works after calibration with the software. However, for particularly precise results, the Studio Kit's specially calibrated microphone is recommended.

Two pitch bend modes, IntelliBend and TruBend, offer further creative options for precisely translating vocal variations into MIDI data. In addition to the voice-to-MIDI function, the software includes a drum kit (808 kit) and seven synth sounds, including bass, lead and pads, so you can start producing straight away.
