Portable stage piano from Yamaha
The Yamaha CP88 is a very compact, portable stage piano for live keyboardists. Equipped with 88 weighted keys and weighing only 18.6 kg, it is the ideal companion for any stage performance. The CP88 has a wide range of sounds, a very high-quality keyboard, an extensive effects section and everything you would expect from a professional stage piano as a musician on stage. Last but not least, the clear, intuitive operation makes the Yamaha CP88 an ideal companion for any performance.
High-quality keyboard with fast response
The Yamaha CP88 features a weighted, graduated hammer action with 88 real wood keys and a triple sensor system (NW-GH). The added third sensor allows real repetitive playing like on a real grand piano. The surface of the keys is made of synthetic ivory or real ebony overlays.
Great variety of sounds
A selection of 57 voices are available for direct selection in the CP88. These include the Yamaha CFX, the Yamaha S700 and the Bösendorfer Imperial 290. The stage piano also offers a selection of electric piano sounds (like the CP80), opulent strings, pad sounds and various synth sounds.
Comprehensive sound control and numerous connections
The clear one-to-one user interface of the Yamaha Stage Piano provides immediate and direct control over all parameters at all times. The intuitive operating concept allows you to quickly set split points, layer sounds and implement extensive sound modifications. With the help of integrated USB, MIDI and audio connections, the CP88 can be perfectly integrated into a wide variety of studio and live setups.
USB MIDI/Audio
The integration of a USB interface into a stage piano expands the connection options and data exchange between the instrument and other devices, especially computers. It enables seamless transmission of MIDI data and audio streams in real time, without the need for an additional audio interface. This opens up a world of new possibilities for recording, editing and composing for musicians and producers. With a USB connection, users can control software instruments, record their performances directly and play software synthesizers in real time. This promotes creative flexibility and efficiency by simplifying and expanding the workflow.
