Nectar 4 Advanced from iZotope makes mixing, producing, and designing vocals effortless. The fourth version of the popular software provides Mac and PC users with many options for everyday studio work, and to work efficiently and quickly implement creative ideas. In addition to familiar features from previous versions, Nectar 4 offers a host of new features and improvements: Use machine learning and dynamic EQ modes, let levels adjust automatically, and benefit from a large vocal chain that focuses on problematic recordings. All this and more combined in a responsive, intuitive User interface for a pleasant workflow.

Audiolens referencing

Audiolens is compatible with Nectar 4 Advanced and offers with the tone-match function the possibility to recreate any vocal sound. Separate the vocals from one of your reference tracks and get important sonic information to generate a starting point for your Mix.

Voices Module

The Voices module makes it easy to create vocal layers without any knowledge of harmony. Simply use presets as a base and shape the sound to your liking.

Auto Level Module

The Auto Level module is a smart alternative to compressors because it acts like a recording engineer within the mix. Just load it first into the insert slot of the track you want to process and it will start levelling your vocals automatically. Added to this is a Tame Noise feature, which differentiates between sung and non-sung content and levels only tonal elements. This not only results in a clean sound without artifacts but also saves a lot of time by eliminating the tedious work of manual automation.

Backer Module

The A.I.-powered Backer Module lets you create artificial background singers from vocal stems to support the main voice and provide a fuller-sounding Mix. Choose from a total of eight different styles or import your own acappellas to further shape the sound. (A.I. has been trained with English vocals only)

Vocal Assistant

The Vocal Assistant is a handy tool for beginners or anyone who wants to see fast results even in stressful situations. The interface is designed to suggest helpful settings so you don't get lost in the details of vocal mixing.
