Power for the microphone signal

With the DM1 sE Electronics offers an active inline preamp for passive microphones that require extremely high preamplification. The DM1 is ideal for this and can easily be placed between the microphone and mic Preamp to tease out an additional, transparent and clean 28dB GAIN - without any noise or colouration. The output impedance is also the lowest in its class. Long cable runs can therefore be mastered with ease, while the susceptibility to interference, hum and buzz is reduced. (Of course, the shorter the cable, the better).

As it is an active inline device, it requires 48V phantom power to operate. However, this phantom power is only used by the DM1, i.e. the 48V is not passed from it to the microphone.
