The Epiphone Alex Lifeson 1976 ES-355 Alpine White at a glance
As one of the pioneers of progressive rock, the Canadian band Rush is undoubtedly one of the most popular acts. To coincide with the ‘Fifty Something’ Tour, Epiphone is now presenting the Epiphone Alex Lifeson 1976 ES-355 Alpine White for fans and collectors. This instrument from the ‘Inspired by Gibson’ collection embodies the original white 1970s ES-355 that Alex played on numerous recordings and live performances. Whilst the body is made from maple and poplar laminate, the Slim-C maple neck features a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with block inlays. Gibson has also fitted this signature model with two US-made Gibson T-Type humbuckers. The two humbuckers are modelled on the original Norlin-era pickups and are connected via hand-wired circuitry featuring CTS potentiometers, Mallory capacitors and a Varitone circuit. The Epiphone Alex Lifeson 1976 ES-355 Alpine White is completed by the combination of a Maestro Vibrola and a Harmonica Tune-o-Matic in a gold finish.
