With the PRS Paul’s Guitar QM 10-Top Yellow Tiger, the US guitar manufacturer presents a very special Custom Shop model, which is regarded as an exclusive interpretation of Paul Reed Smith’s personal favourite instrument. The classic mahogany body, featuring an intricately grained 10-Top cloud maple top, combines exceptionally comfortable playability and is elegantly showcased by the exquisite Yellow Tiger nitro finish. The set mahogany neck with a comfortable Pattern profile, together with the fingerboard made from high-quality Honduran rosewood featuring the distinctive Brushstroke Birds inlays, ensures the characteristic PRS playing feel and the highest quality of craftsmanship.
To achieve the right sound, Paul’s Guitar features two PRS TCI humbuckers, which deliver a balanced tone for warm clean sounds, rich mids and precise treble reproduction. Using the 3-way toggleswitch and two mini-toggle switches, the pickups can be switched independently to single-coil mode via coil-tap, opening up a versatile sound spectrum ranging from gentle clean tones to powerful rock and lead sounds.
The hardware on this model ensures robust and durable performance: the PRS Stoptail bridge with brass inserts, which ensures optimum vibration transfer and long sustain, is complemented by high-quality Phase III non-locking tuners with an 18:1 gear ratio.
