Semi-hollow body made of spruce and curly maple

For the body construction, Duesenberg uses a time-tested tonewood combination, featuring a laminated spruce top with a classic F-hole, paired with curly maple laminate for the back and sides. The arched top and back enhance the guitar’s natural resonance, enriching its acoustic character and tonal depth. At the same time, a solid center block provides excellent feedback resistance, allowing the Starplayer TV to perform cleanly and confidently even at high volumes and with increased gain – making it a true all-rounder for both stage and studio.

Duesenberg Domino P-90 & Grand Vintage Humbucker

Few pickup configurations deliver as much vintage versatility as the custom Duesenberg pickups found in the Starplayer TV Duo-Tone Catalina Blue & White. In the bridge position, the Grand Vintage humbucker covers everything from classic P.A.F. warmth to modern gain-rich tones, offering a broad sonic palette. Paired with the Domino P-90 in the neck, which delivers a vocal, articulate tone, this setup excels at detailed chords, warm cleans, and crunchy lead sounds. The middle position of the 3-way selector switch subtly reduces low-end frequencies, creating an especially open and crisp tone – ideal for rhythm work that needs to cut through with clarity.
