Gibson ES-335 60s: The classic from the legendary Sixties is back!
The Gibson ES-335 60s is modelled on the legendary semi-hollow models of the early 1960s and delivers the open tonal character of a semi-hollow-body electric guitar with the controlled feedback behaviour of a solid centre block. The three-ply maple/poplar/maple body ensures feather-light handling, whilst the instrument is characterised above all by abundant sustain and high resistance to feedback. A mahogany neck with a slim SlimTaper profile, small-block inlays and a bound rosewood fingerboard provides that characteristic 1960s playing feel. When it comes to sound, Gibson relies on two calibrated T-Type humbuckers with Alnico 5 magnets, which reproduce the legendary sound of historic T-Top pickups and cover a wide range of applications, from brilliant clean tones to assertive crunch and lead tones. Hand-wired electronics with Orange Drop capacitors, an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and the high-quality gloss nitrocellulose finish round off the features of this semi-hollow model!
