A true jazz box, the Fame SE Series Big Boy Black offers the sound, look and feel of traditional archtop guitars. Built from classic ingredients and to a proven recipe, the hollow-body electric guitar features a voluminous body that adds airy, warm, semi-resonant character to the sound of two Tron-style humbuckers played with versatile switching on the amp and is ready for any fun from jazz to Blues to hotter rockabilly rock sounds. furthermore, the Fame SE Series Big Boy offers a stylish interior with die-cast tuners and a Bigsby-style Vibrato in a uniform gold finish.

Hollowbody construction made of basswood

The body of the Fame SE Series Big Boy Black is made of vibrant basswood, which provides the best resonance properties in the proven laminate construction. Thanks to the Tone bar installed under the bridge, the hollow body remains free of feedback at slightly higher gain settings, making it feel right at home even in the tonal realms of the typical Blues crunch. In addition, the top was provided with a bar maple veneer, whose three-dimensional flame provides interesting looks.

Fame Tron-Style Humbucker

For sound conversion at the amplifier, the two Fame Tron-style humbuckers are two true old-timers in the neck and bridge position. The double coils with moderate winding and Alnico magnets conjure up a mild vintage output with extremely distinctive midrange warmth, and are able to assert itself appropriately in the band context at any time. Both pickups are switched via two 3-way switches as well as two volume controls and additional treble control.

Bigsby-style Vibrato and die-cast gold finish tuners

The functional and visually appealing hardware equipment of the Fame SE Series Big Boy Black is composed of a versatile adjustable Tune-o-Matic bridge with rosewood base and an additional Bigsby-style Vibrato for shimmering pitch modulations, while six die-cast tuners on the headstock provide absolute tuning stability. All hardware parts are kept in the noble uniform gold finish.
