Compact steel tongue Drum with 11 tones in mixed Tone D
The Fame FST06-DG Steel Tongue Drum 6 Mix Tone D is a steel tongue drum with 11 tones, tuned in mixed Tone D (D4/D5/E4/F#4/G4/A3/A4/B3/B4/C#4/C#5). The steel tongued drum can either be played traditionally with the fingertips or with the finger beaters provided. The sound is clean, clear and soothing and is reminiscent of the sound of handpans. The spherical soundscape is suitable for music therapy, meditation or as an addition to a percussion set-up. The Fame FST06-DG is painted in a high-gloss green and the individual tone fields are numbered. The playing surface is pleasant to the touch and offers a preciseplaying feel. Due to the precisely cut steel tongues, the basic sound of the Fame Steel Tongue Drum is surprisingly loud and assertive, but without losing its meditative character.
Meditative sound thanks to perfect workmanship
The drum can be played with your fingers or with the mallets supplied. In both cases, the result is a clear, bell-like sound. If you play with your fingers, the basic sound becomes somewhat warmer and more organic, while playing with mallets produces a louder and more static sound.
The eleven steel reeds sound clear, loud and clean thanks to the precise cutting technique, without producing interfering frequencies. All eleven reeds are labeled with a number so that simple tone sequences can be written down. The green coating contributes to the comfortable playing feel.
