The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Emerald GreenHighgloss at a glance:
The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Emerald Green Highgloss celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Fame brand as a strictly limited special edition. It combines premium tonewoods, modern full-featured design, and exceptional playing comfort. The slim mahogany body with its elegant burl poplar top not only catches the eye but also provides a comfortable playing position, with generous cutaways offering unrestricted access across the entire neck. The neck is traditionally glued mahogany with a flat "D" profile that sits comfortably in the hand, making every riff or lick on the ebony fingerboard effortless. At the amplifier, the proven pairing of a Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz neck pickup and a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB bridge pickup delivers versatile tones suitable for pop, blues, and rock. Coil-splitting adds authentic single-coil sounds, while the integrated GraphTech Ghost piezo system provides rich acoustic tones. A Tune-O-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece and precise Gotoh locking tuners complete the instrument.
With two Seymour Duncan humbuckers and a piezo pickup system in the bridge, the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl delivers versatile sounds.
Seymour Duncan humbucker for sounds between Blues and rock
The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary is equipped with a versatile pickup configuration. The SH-4 JB bridge pickup delivers focused mids and strong output, while the SH-2n Jazz neck pickup provides warm, vintage tones with long sustain. Coil-splitting offers clear, bell-like single-coil sounds, expanding the guitar’s tonal palette.
The front volume control is designed as a push/pull pot and activates the piezo. The humbuckers can be split into single coils using the mini switch.
Piezo pickup system
In addition to magnetic pickups, the guitar features a GraphTech Ghost piezo system integrated into the bridge with an active preamp. Activated via the front volume control, it produces authentic acoustic sounds with bright highs and natural attack. The piezo volume can be adjusted separately, allowing blended sounds with the magnetic pickups.
The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Emerald Green Gloss has a body made of khaya mahogany, while the glued neck is made of sapele mahogany.
The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary is equipped with Gotoh locking tuners for precise tuning and quick string changes.
Hardware from Gotoh and GraphTech
High-quality hardware ensures reliability on stage and in the studio. Strings pass over the GraphTech Resomax Tune-O-Matic bridge with graphite string savers that accommodate the piezo elements and are anchored by a traditional stopbar tailpiece. The Black TUSQ nut and precise Gotoh locking tuners secure tuning stability.
High playability and careful wood selection
Crafted by experienced European luthiers, the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl combines careful wood selection with flawless craftsmanship. The khaya mahogany body with burl poplar top is visually striking, while the contoured top and cutaway ensure unrestricted access across the fingerboard. The sapele mahogany neck with a flat "D" profile fits naturally in the hand, allowing notes on the ebony fingerboard to flow effortlessly.

Excerpt: Otherwise, perfection down to the last detail. The unlacquered satin surfaces convey an extremely pleasant feel, the ergonomics a high level of playing comfort. Schaller hardware, Seymour Duncan pickups and GraphTech Ghost Piezo Bridge with corresponding Preamp - that's how you score plus points. Last but not least, the sound of both guitars is absolutely convincing and, thanks to their very good resonance characteristics, excellent dynamics and stable Sustain, they can also be used for a wide range of different musical genres.

I've REALLY gelled with this guitar. First thing first the wood on this guitar and the craftsmanship are TOP notch. I was not impressed with the electronics the Duncan pickups, while a classic combo, didn't suit my needs. I put shur thornbuckers in right away. While the piezo pickups are graphtech the preamp is not, I changed that out as well. I also added a tone control and removed the piezo switch for a piezo volume (can be done with a mini pot). As you can see I'm super particular about my electronics so I don't fault fame, especially at this price. I will be buy another one! But, can we get a few more color options for the semi hollow!???
