This strictly limited-edition electric guitar combines selected tonewoods, modern features and first-class playability in an exceptional instrument. The ergonomically designed mahogany body ensures high playing comfort right up to the highest registers thanks to its contoured shape and deep cutaways. The set-in mahogany neck with a flat D-profile sits comfortably in the hand and, together with the ebony fingerboard, enables a fast and precise playing feel. For the electric pickup system, Fame relies on the tried-and-tested Seymour Duncan combination of SH-2n Jazz and SH-4 JB humbuckers, which covers a wide spectrum from warm clean tones to assertive rock sounds. Authentic single-coil voicings are also available via coil split. An integrated piezo system expands the sound range to include impressive acoustic guitar tones. High-quality hardware in the form of a Tune-O-Matic bridge with stopbar and precise Gotoh locking tuners perfectly rounds off the features of this limited-edition anniversary guitar.
The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary impresses with a first-class pickup configuration that opens up an exceptionally wide sound spectrum. At the bridge, the Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB delivers powerful rock sounds with high output, crisp mids and excellent presence, whilst the Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz at the neck provides warm, detailed tones with long sustain and a harmonious response. This tried-and-tested humbucker combination effortlessly covers styles ranging from blues and pop through classic rock to modern high-gain sounds. For added flexibility, both pickups can be switched to authentic single-coil voicings via coil split, impressing with transparent dynamics, brilliant highs and the characteristic bell-like tone of classic single-coils.
With the additional GraphTech Ghost Piezo pickup system integrated into the bridge, the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary is also ideally equipped for defined acoustic sounds. The system features an active preamp and can be activated via the push/pull function of the volume control. The result is a unique sound with brilliant highs and the characteristic attack response. Those wishing to use the piezo sound in combination with the magnetic pickups can use the blend control to adjust the piezo volume and achieve the ideal mix between the two pickup types.
Last but not least, the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary impresses with high-quality hardware that performs with absolute reliability on stage and in the studio. From the traditional stopbar tailpiece, the strings are routed over the GraphTech Resomax Tune-O-Matic bridge, whose string saddles, made from String-Saver graphite material, house the Ghost piezo elements. The Black TUSQ nut is also from GraphTech; behind it, the strings are held in place at the headstock by precision Gotoh locking tuners.
