The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Emerald GreenHighgloss at a glance:
The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Emerald Green Highgloss celebrates 20 years of Fame guitars with a limited-edition model that combines premium tonewoods, modern versatility, and exceptional comfort. The slim mahogany body, topped with striking burl poplar, not only showcases elegant aesthetics but also ensures a comfortable playing experience. Deep cutaways allow effortless access to all frets on the glued mahogany neck, which features a fast, flat “D” profile and a smooth ebony fingerboard. This model comes equipped with a Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz (neck) and SH-4 JB (bridge) for versatile tones ranging from blues and pop to rock and metal. A coil-split expands your tonal palette with authentic single-coil sounds, while the integrated GraphTech Ghost piezo system delivers convincing acoustic tones at the push of a knob. A GraphTech ResoMax Tune-O-Matic bridge, Gotoh locking tuners, and a GraphTech TUSQ nut ensure stability, precision, and tuning reliability – whether in the studio or on stage.
With two Seymour Duncan humbuckers and a piezo pickup system in the bridge, the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl delivers versatile sounds.
Seymour Duncan humbucker for sounds between Blues and rock
The Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary delivers outstanding tonal flexibility thanks to its Seymour Duncan H-H configuration. The JB humbucker at the bridge provides high output, with tight mids and aggressive bite, perfect for rhythm work and searing solos. The Jazz model at the neck offers a warm vintage tone with smooth sustain, ideal for melodic leads and clean phrasing. The coil-split function unlocks chime-like single-coil tones, adding even more flexibility for cleans and rhythmic textures.
The front volume control is designed as a push/pull pot and activates the piezo. The mini switch can be used to split the humbuckers into single coils.
Piezo pickup system
Alongside its magnetic pickups, the guitar includes a GraphTech Ghost piezo system, seamlessly integrated into the bridge saddles. Controlled via a push-pull volume knob, it delivers crystal-clear acoustic tones with realistic transients and resonance. A secondary rear-mounted volume control allows you to blend piezo and magnetic signals, offering hybrid tones ideal for live looping, layering, or dynamic tonal shifts.
The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Emerald Green Gloss has a body made of khaya mahogany, while the glued neck is made of sapele mahogany.
The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary is equipped with Gotoh locking tuners for precise tuning and quick string changes.
Hardware from Gotoh and GraphTech
For uncompromising performance, this model features professional-grade hardware. The GraphTech ResoMax Tune-O-Matic bridge supports both magnetic and piezo signals, with graphite string savers enhancing tuning stability and reducing breakage. Strings pass through a traditional stopbar tailpiece and are secured at the headstock by Gotoh locking tuners, known for their precision and reliability. A GraphTech Black TUSQ nut further enhances tuning accuracy and sustain.
High playability and careful wood selection
Each Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary guitar is crafted in Europe by experienced luthiers, with attention to premium materials and flawless finishing. The khaya mahogany body is matched with a visually stunning burl poplar top, accentuated by a high-gloss emerald finish. The sharply sculpted top contour and cutaway recess allow for maximum fretboard access, while the sapele mahogany neck with its ergonomic “D” profile ensures a natural playing feel. Paired with a fast ebony fingerboard, the guitar offers effortless playability for both rhythm and lead.

Excerpt: Otherwise, perfection down to the last detail. The unlacquered satin surfaces convey an extremely pleasant feel, the ergonomics a high level of playing comfort. Schaller hardware, Seymour Duncan pickups and GraphTech Ghost Piezo Bridge with corresponding Preamp - that's how you score plus points. [...] All instruments in the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Series feature hand-selected premium burl poplar tops with unique grain and individual finish. Having viewed the guitar online, I was curious to see if it looked as cool in person as it did virtually, and I can confirm that it does. I've REALLY gelled with this guitar. First thing first the wood on this guitar and the craftsmanship are TOP notch. I was not impressed with the electronics the Duncan pickups, while a classic combo, didn't suit my needs. I put shur thornbuckers in right away. While the piezo pickups are graphtech the preamp is not, I changed that out as well. I also added a tone control and removed the piezo switch for a piezo volume (can be done with a mini pot). As you can see I'm super particular about my electronics so I don't fault fame, especially at this price. I will be buy another one! But, can we get a few more color options for the semi hollow!???
