The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Natural Gloss celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Fame brand as a strictly limited-edition special model featuring high-quality premium tonewoods, a contemporary full range of features and a high level of playing comfort. The slim mahogany body with a stylish burl poplar top not only showcases its visually appealing details but also offers a comfortable playing position, with the generous cutaways providing unobstructed access across the entire neck. The neck is crafted from mahogany and traditionally laminated, whilst the flat ‘D’ profile sits comfortably in the hand, ensuring that every riff or lick flows effortlessly from your fingers on the ebony fingerboard. When amplified, the tried-and-tested combination of a Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz at the neck and a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB at the bridge delivers versatile sounds ranging from pop to blues and rock, which are enhanced by authentic single-coil tones thanks to the coil-split function. The integrated piezo pickup system also delivers first-class acoustic guitar sounds, meaning there are no limits to the tonal variety and musical expression. A Tune-O-Matic bridge with a Stopbar tailpiece, along with precision locking tuners from Gotoh, complete the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Natural Gloss.
Thanks to its versatile pickup configuration, the Fame Forum IV Modern offers exceptional tonal flexibility. Featuring a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB at the bridge and a Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz at the neck, it utilises a tried-and-tested humbucker pairing that delivers the right sound for every genre from blues, pop and rock right through to metal. The bridge pickup impresses with its high output and the tremendous punch of its sharply focused mids, whilst the neck pickup brings every note to life with endless sustain and a warm, vintage tone. Thanks to the coil-split circuit, authentic single-coil sounds with their typically bell-like, clear tone are also available.
In addition to the magnetic pickups, the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary is fitted with a GraphTech Ghost piezo pickup system, which is integrated into the bridge and features an active preamp. Pulling the front volume control activates the system, which then delivers authentic acoustic guitar sounds to the amplifier, with brilliant trebles and the characteristic attack response. The volume of the piezo system can be adjusted using the rear potentiometer, allowing for blended sounds with the Seymour Duncan magnetic pickups.
Last but not least, the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl impresses with its high-quality hardware, which performs with absolute reliability both on stage and in the studio. From the traditional Stopbar tailpiece, the strings run over the GraphTech Resomax Tune-O-Matic bridge, whose string saddles – made from String-Saver graphite material – house the Ghost piezo elements. Also from GraphTech is the Black TUSQ nut, behind which the strings are secured to the headstock by precision Gotoh locking tuners.
The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl is crafted by experienced guitar makers in Europe and, as such, impresses with its careful selection of wood and flawless craftsmanship. The body is crafted from Khaya mahogany with a top made of poplar burl, whose unique grain is skilfully accentuated by the finish. A standout feature is undoubtedly the sharply contoured arch of the top with a cutaway recess, which ensures unhindered playability across all positions. The Sapelli mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand thanks to its perfectly proportioned ‘D’ profile, so that every note plays almost by itself on the ebony fingerboard.

Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Natural Gloss #26051793My Fame Forum IV modern 20th anniversary (color: burl stonewashed blue) arrived yesterday. My first impression: top notch quality for an extremely good price. I also own a PRS and this Fame guitar literally compares to a PRS core guitar in my honest first impression.
At first, I was hesitant to buy a Fame guitar because the brand is unknown here in the Netherlands. But I thought “what the heck” and gave it a try, after seeing the good reviews. Well, the looks are amazing, the fretwork excellent, it sounds great and plays very well. Build quality is top notch. And this “made in Europe”, at 1/3 of the price of a PRS core.
Some small suggestions:
1) no one is waiting for the “20 years” inlay on the fretboard. Normal dots are a bit more convenient.
2) I advise a version with tremolo and tone control, a few more colors, and a similar model but with lower output pickups. That will cover 90% of the needs of guitarists. For sure I would buy another one then
Extremely happy!! Best quality guitar I've had, I like it better than the PRS I had previously. Shipping was fast to Texas, arrived in about 2 weeks.
I've REALLY gelled with this guitar. First thing first the wood on this guitar and the craftsmanship are TOP notch. I was not impressed with the electronics the Duncan pickups, while a classic combo, didn't suit my needs. I put shur thornbuckers in right away. While the piezo pickups are graphtech the preamp is not, I changed that out as well. I also added a tone control and removed the piezo switch for a piezo volume (can be done with a mini pot). As you can see I'm super particular about my electronics so I don't fault fame, especially at this price. I will be buy another one! But, can we get a few more color options for the semi hollow!???
Beautiful craftmanship. Almost Challenging the PRS Core model (I have 2 so I can compare).
The fretworks is cut perfectly but needs Bit of additional polishing to round edges and decrease friction with the strings.
Also the Guitar came without Gigbag. As it is the High performance guitar range of FAME, this guitar should come with Gig Bag.
