The Fender American Vintage II 1975 Telecaster Deluxe MN Vintage Blonde at a glance
The American Vintage II 1975 Telecaster Deluxe MN Vintage Blonde celebrates the iconic 1970s Telecaster design as it appeared in 1975. Fitted with two humbuckers, redesigned body contours and a resonant hardtail bridge, this electric guitar was specifically designed for the hard rock music of the era and remains a popular model amongst alternative and indie rock guitarists to this day. Reason enough, then, for Fender to revive the Telecaster Deluxe as part of the American Vintage II series. Includes a case and certificate!
Telecaster body with belly cut
Following the popular Stratocaster design, the alder body of the Telecaster Deluxe has also been fitted with a belly cut to improve the instrument’s playing comfort, whether played with a strap or on the lap. Also unique to this Telecaster model is the large CBS-era headstock, whilst the modern 9.5-inch fingerboard radius ensures easier bending on the 21 vintage tall frets of the maple fingerboard.
Pure Vintage Wide Range Humbucker
As the sound-producing elements of the Telecaster Deluxe, two classic Fender Pure Vintage Wide Range humbuckers are, of course, a must. Compared to conventional humbuckers, these two dual-coil pickups with CuNiFe magnets produce a brighter tone with distinct single-coil characteristics and impress with their increased output. Both Wide Range humbuckers are controlled via separate controls for volume and tone.
Hardware & Parts
Unlike the traditional ‘ashtray’ bridge on the Telecaster, the Fender American Vintage II 1975 Telecaster Deluxe is fitted with a Pure Vintage 6-saddle hardtail bridge , which provides each string with an individual saddle for precise intonation adjustment. Combined with the iconically shaped three-ply pickguard, classic ‘skirted’ control knobs and six Pure Vintage Tele Deluxe tuning machines , this creates the unmistakable look of the Fender Telecaster Deluxe.
