With the Fender Limited Edition '60s Dual-Mag II Strat Super Heavy Relic RW Aged Vintage White, the Fender Custom Shop sends a particularly versatile interpretation of the legendary Strat into the race, which sets standards with a lively and well-balanced sound. Underneath the authentic Super Heavy Relic finish, the guitar is made from selected alder and high-quality maple woods that are particularly resonant. In addition, the well-proportioned "C" profile creates particularly comfortable playing characteristics. At the heart of the Fender '60s Dual-Mag II Strat, however, are undoubtedly the hand-wound Dual-Mag II single-coils, which, with Alnico-V magnets under the four low strings and Alnico-II under the high strings, promise particularly balanced tonal characteristics. In addition, the Strat 1/2 blender circuit provides increased tonal variety. Naturally, a classic synchronized tremolo and vintage-style tuners complete Fender's Limited Edition '60s Dual-Mag II Strat Super Heavy Relic RW Aged Vintage White.
The particularly lively and resonant basic sound of the Fender Custom Shop '60s Dual-Mag II is the result of a particularly careful selection of roasted woods, which convince with breathtaking quality on Fender Custom Shop level. For the body, the Fender Custom Shop uses selected alder, while the neck is made of radially sawn curly maple in AA quality with standing annual rings. With the perfectly executed "'60s Oval C" profile, the modern 9.5" radius of the rosewood fingerboard and the narrow-tall fretting, the Dual-Mag II Stratocaster offers particularly pleasant playing characteristics.
At the heart of the Fender Limited Edition '60 Dual-Mag II Strat Super Heavy Relic are, without a doubt, the namesake hand-wound Dual-Mag II single-coils. With straight Alnico V-Rod pole pieces for the four lowest strings and chamfered Beveled Alnico II pole pieces under the B and high E strings, the pickups deliver an exceptionally balanced sound with a comforting shimmer in the highs and a full but not overbearing bass, with smooth dynamics that detail every nuance of playing. Thanks to the Strat 1/2 Blender circuit, which allows the neck pickup to be blended in switch positions 1 and 2, the '60s Dual-Mag II Relic Strat also offers the option of combining bridge and neck pickups or all three pickups together.
Naturally, the Fender Limited Edition '60s Dual-Mag II Strat Super Heavy Relic RW Aged Vintage White is equipped with authentic vintage-style hardware. Accordingly, the bridge is a Fender 6-saddle synchronized tremolo with string riders made of bent sheet steel, which allows for elegant vibrato embellishments for melodies and chords, and impresses with its particularly smooth handling. Behind the bone nut, Fender Vintage-style tuners also ensure that the electric guitar's tuning is precise and stable.
