The neck and middle pickups are equipped with Alnico IV magnets and present a harmonic "Hi-Fi" character for the detailed output of solos and chords, while the warm tone of the Alnico II bridge pickup shows its strength, especially with overdrive sounds. A special feature of the Fender Yosemite Strat Pickup Set is furthermore the reverse polarized and wound middle pickup (RWRP, Reverse Wound/Reverse Polarity), which in combination with the neck and bridge pickups suppresses unwanted ambient noise.
