The SG Standard Maestro Vibrola Pelham Blue Ultra Light Aged is based on the historically correct construction of the '64 SG as the starting point for this replica model. matching, the instrument is made up of a one-piece body made of solid, yet lightweight mahogany and a neck also made of mahogany. This has the traditional long neck heel (long neck tenon) and is glued to the body with glass-hard hide-glue for improved resonance behavior. Last but not least, the more powerful "Authentic '64 Medium C" neck profile conjures up the usual classic feel in the style of the Gibson solidbody guitars of the late fifties.

The Kluson tuners in the historically correct "Single Line/Double Ring" design of the sixties also undergo the Murphy Lab treatment.
