The Gretsch G6128-62 Duo Jet Orange Top Heavy Relic is a truly successful homage to the famous solidbody classic of the fifties and sixties. The electric guitar from the Gretsch USA Custom store in Corona, California is a detailed replica of the Duo Jet in a doublecut design that will delight not only vintage collectors but also modern players. As proof of the authenticity of this instrument, the Gretsch G6128-1962 Duo Jet comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Master builder Gonzalo Madrigal.
Semi-solid mahogany body
The unique sound character of the Gretsch G6128-62 Duo Jet Orange Top Heavy Relic is due to its completely unique body construction. While the semi-solid body with resonance chambers provides an airy semi-hollow note, the solid mahogany wood and a full-length maple laminate top contribute to the basic sound with defined trebles and warm, vocal mids. Glued to this is a neck also made of mahogany with a balanced C-profile and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
TV Jones TV Classic Pickups & Tone Switch Wiring
Hardly any other pickup captures the qualities of the legendary Filter'Tron as authentically as the TV Jones TV Classic Pickup. Built on the basis of an original '59 Filter'Tron, the pickup is considered to be particularly dynamic and multi-faceted, making it ideal for a wide range of applications from classic country pickings to rock 'n' roll boards. The Gretsch G6128-62 Duo Jet Orange Top Heavy Relic also features the famous Tone Switch Wiring, which assigns separate volume controls plus master volume, tone switch and standby switch to both pickups.
