Inspired by the iconic G6136T hollow-body, the Rich Robinson Signature features a maple laminate body and solid spruce top with oversized F-holes, producing a highly resonant fundamental tone. Its traditional 1959 trestle bracing, combined with a center block to suppress feedback at higher gain, allows the G6136T-RR to deliver rich crunch and overdrive while maintaining responsive attack and impressive projection. The glued maple neck, with its robust U-shaped profile, further enhances playability and tone.

Vintage style humbucker from Gretsch and TV Jones

On an amp, the combination of a Gretsch Broad’Tron BT-65 in the neck and a TV Jones Filter’Tron Classic in the bridge produces iconic rock tones with a distinct vintage character. The BT-65 delivers punchy mids with a smooth top end, while the Filter’Tron Classic offers crisp, overtone-rich trebles, perfect for expressive rock sounds. The guitar’s control layout follows Gretsch tradition, with separate volume knobs for each pickup, a Master Tone, and a Master Volume. Thanks to the Treble Bleed Circuit, the full treble spectrum of both pickups is preserved even at lower volume settings.

Matching its classic sound, the G6136T-RR features authentic Gretsch hardware. A Gretsch Adjusto-Matic bridge with pinned ebony base works seamlessly with a Bigsby B6 vibrato, allowing expressive vibrato without a pressure roller. Six Grover Imperial tuners, with their signature stepped wings, complete the unmistakable G6136T silhouette. Gretsch has also added a personalized Magpie pickguard and a unique Raven’s Breast Blue nitrocellulose finish, which enhances resonance and develops natural aging over time, giving the guitar both character and authenticity.
