The iLoud Sub's first striking feature is its size, or rather what it doesn't need. It takes up minimal space and even fits under a desk or next to a desktop setup. ARC X is the central tool of the iLoud Sub and takes care of the entire calibration process for you. The software automatically analyzes your room and precisely adjusts both the subwoofer and the connected monitors to the acoustic conditions, regardless of the manufacturer or model of the speakers. The supplied measuring microphone is used to record the listening position and calculate a correction profile that ensures a balanced sound image.
The adjustable crossover frequency determines the point at which the iLoud Sub takes over the bass range. This allows the subwoofer to be precisely matched to the monitors used, regardless of whether compact desktop speakers or larger nearfields are in use. The transition between the subwoofer and monitors remains unobtrusive and homogeneous, the bass seems like a natural part of the overall sound and not like an additional effect. Together with ARC X, the result is a cleanly tuned system in which the low end, mids and highs interlock logically.
