Professional subwoofer in compact format

The Kali Audio WS-6.2 studio subwoofer is designed for use in small to medium-sized rooms and meets professional demands for performance, sound and operational reliability. The WS-6.2 is equipped with 2 6.5" woofers arranged directly opposite each other in the cabinet. This modern design approach brings several advantages: The volume of the subwoofer can be significantly reduced by the smaller drivers - while still 30% larger diaphragm area than an 8 "sub. This results in further advantages in compensating for cabinet modes and distortion, which are easier and more effective to control with a smaller cabinet. In addition, the placement of the sub is significantly easier, especially in multi-channel setups.

The perfect extension to a full-range monitoring system

Despite its exceptionally small size, the WS-6.2 achieves a lower cutoff frequency of 27Hz with a power amp output of 1000W peak, making it the ideal accompaniment for studio monitors with 8" woofers. The disadvantages of a smaller cabinet volume are fully compensated by the high performance woofers developed by Kali Audio with their up to 15mm excursion. A specially designed bass tube with outstandingly low distortion values at the front provides additional bass boost.

Ideal in studio and home theater context

The WS-6.2 comes with all the connection options needed for integration and studio monitoring such as home theater systems. At the rear, there are both jack/XLR combo jacks and RCA connectors. The playback level can be adjusted to the local conditions and to the reference level of your system with the volume control. For the selection of the optimal subwoofer location, the phase and 180° can be rotated. There is also a jack format connector for remote control via foot switch.

3 modes for stereo & surround operation

Finally, the subwoofer offers 3 different operating modes: In standard mode with internal crossover, the subwoofer signal is cut off at 80Hz and the speaker signal is delivered to the satellites at the XLR outputs. For operation in a surround system, the WS-6.2 is set to LFE mode and can be connected to any Dolby Surround decoder. In case an external crossover is to be used, the internal crossover can be completely deactivated in External mode.
