Premium electric guitar with boutique features for the discerning - made in Japan
The Ibanez AZ2402-ROM represents modern Japanese high-end guitar craftsmanship, combining refined tone with exceptional build quality. Designed for players who move confidently between genres, the AZ2402 provides a versatile platform for everything from expressive blues phrasing to complex djent rhythms and high-gain shred work. The alder body offers excellent balance on the strap and a relatively lightweight feel, making it well suited for extended stage use. The “Prussian Blue Metallic” finish enhances the instrument’s sophisticated aesthetic and reflects the performance-driven design philosophy of the AZ series. The guitar ships factory-strung with .010–.046 strings and includes a robust hardshell case, tremolo arm, and multi-tool a comprehensive professional package for studio sessions, touring, or serious practice.
High-quality tonewoods and robust hardware
The roasted S-TECH WOOD maple neck features an oval C-profile and is paired with a matching roasted maple fingerboard. This construction enhances stability while providing a smooth, responsive playing feel. The Gotoh T1802 tremolo, developed and manufactured in Japan, features stainless steel saddles and a machined steel block for precise response, excellent tuning stability, and a dynamic feel suited to modern techniques and expressive vibrato work. The hardware setup is completed by Gotoh Magnum Lock tuners with H.A.P. (Height Adjustable Post) functionality, allowing optimized string break angle and improved tuning consistency.
Seymour Duncan Hyperion Humbucker
At the core of the AZ2402 are two Seymour Duncan Hyperion humbuckers, engineered for balanced output and a highly articulate response. Combined with Ibanez’s dyna-MIX10 switching system and Alter Switch, the guitar offers ten distinct pickup configurations including series, parallel, and coil-split options that can be accessed instantly. This versatility allows the instrument to move seamlessly from tight, saturated rock tones to percussive funk textures or fluid lead sounds with convincing single-coil character.
