With the PRS SE DGT Moons Gold Top, the extremely popular Dave Grissom Signature guitar makes its way into the attractive SE line-up of the guitar forge from Stevensville, Maryland after a long wait. As a detailed replica of the noble Core Model, the SE DGT naturally features all the tweaks the meticulous and busy session guitarist made to sound and playing characteristics. While the mahogany body is beefier than regular PRS models and carries a solid maple top, the set mahogany neck features the "DGT" profile shaped exactly to Grissom's specifications. On the guitar amplifier, PRS DGT "S" low-output humbuckers also provide authentic vintage tones, which are enriched by the split circuit and authentic single coil tones. The typical PRS Hardware in the form of a buttery responsive PRS Designed Tremolo and tuning stable die-cast tuners completes the equipment of the PRS SE DGT Moons Gold Top Signature guitar.

The construction of the SE DGT is of course based in detail on the Dave Grissom trem from the Core Line-Up. To achieve a particularly powerful Vintage-Sound with warmth and long Sustain, PRS not only relies on the set-neck construction and the obligatory 25" scale length (635 mm), but also on a fat mahogany body with solid maple top. The glued mahogany neck with the narrow "DGT" profile is also particularly comfortable in the hand, so that on the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with the classic PRS Moon Inlays both classic and modern playing techniques can be implemented with ease.

The PRS SE Dave Grissom Trem Signature guitar's electrical sound conversion is handled by PRS DGT "S" humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. Developed after traditional models of the golden era, these low-output humbuckers convince with an authentic vintage sound character that elicits not only rich cleans from the amplifier, but also a fat overdrive that responds dynamically to the playing style. In addition, both humbuckers can be split to achieve glassy single-coil-inspired sounds. In addition to the 3-way pickup switch and a dedicated volume control for each pickup, the Paul Reed Smith SE DGT offers a tone control for adjusting the sound.

Die-cast tuners guarantee accurate and stable tuning of the PRS SE DGT electric guitar.

Of course, Paul Reed Smith completes the SE DGT Moons Gold Top electric guitar with in-house attachments that combine classic looks with unmatched reliability. For the bridge, the well-known PRS Designed tremolo system is used, which not only responds buttery smooth to lever movements and decorates every note with shimmering vibratos, but also guarantees accurate intonation and comfortable string action thanks to six individual string tabs.
