The PRS Mark Tremonti Signature Artist Package Copperhead from the Maryland based Paul Reed Smith Guitars is a signature electric guitar tailored to the needs of Creed and Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti. With a classic single-cut design, specially developed Tremonti humbuckers and an undercut PRS tremolo, the guitar matches Tremonti's sound and playability requirements down to the smallest detail.
The Maryland luthiers around Paul Reed Smith rely on proven ingredients for the construction of the PRS Tremonti and manufacture the Singlecut body from selected mahogany with an intensely grained flamed maple top. In combination with the glued mahogany neck this Signature electric guitar delivers a fat basic sound with balanced attack and sustain, which forms the perfect basis for heavy riffs and singing solos. The "Pattern Thin" profile of the neck offers a comfortable playing feel, whereas the typical Paul Reed Smith bird inlays make it easy to find your way between the 22 frets of the rosewood fretboard.
The Paul Reed Smith Mark Tremonti Signature electric guitar features two humbuckers specially designed for this model. The open Tremonti Treble humbucker on the bridge makes the amp sweat with its high output and convinces with its aggressive sound, allowing riffs and leads to cut through the band sound with precise articulation even in low tunings. Its counterpart on the neck is the capped Tremonti Bass humbucker, whose harmonic, warm tone is the perfect basis for clear chords and arpeggios in the clean channel or singing leads in overdrive.
On the body of the Paul Reed Smith Mark Tremonti Signature, the strings are held in place by the tried and tested PRS tremolo bridge, which has six individually adjustable string saddles to guarantee optimum adjustment of intonation and position. With its generous undercutting, the smooth vibrato system allows pitch bendings up and down. At the head plate, robust PRS Phase III locking tuners ensure unalterable tuning stability and lightning-fast string changes.
