The Remo Black X Snare Head 14" is the thickest snare head of Remo's collection. It's made with two, free floating plies of 10-mil film and a 3-mil reverse black dot. This gives a consistent focused warm sound and a huge amount of durability, making them popular among many hardest hitting rock drummers. Although popular with rock drummers, this head can also be used for punk, R&B and pop.
The main features of the Remo Black X Snare Head 14" include:
Remo Emperor Black X 14", Snare BatterGood drum head but not for the Balkan folk music style. The head gives more low and mid tones. I use batter Remo Black Emperor and for reso side Remo Black Suede.
The sound is good for rock or pop, but for the music I play is not. The sound
is mid to low.
I play offten with rims and the rims with this combination sounds very pure.
