The Powerstroke 77 snare skins consist of two layers of Mylar film, each 7 mil thick, which explains the origin of the name. A narrow damping ring, also 7 mil thick, provides a dry response and shortened sustain. The clear dot in the center of the head extends the life of the Powerstroke 77 and delivers excellent response from the center to the edge.

The REMO Powerstroke 77 Coated features Mylar film at 7 mil thickness, a 7 mil damping ring, and a 5 mil clear dot.
