Thorens - TD 403 DD, walnut high gloss at a glance
The Thorens TD 403 DD extends the 400 series of direct-drive plug-and-play turntables and features the same reliable and quiet drive as the TD 402 DD. It stands out from its predecessor with a more robust, 1.4 kg and 22 mm thick aluminium platter and the audiophile TP 150 tonearm, which is also fitted in the TD 1500. A 2M Blue cartridge from Ortofon is included as standard. Thanks to the Nude Diamond with elliptical cut, it proves to be an ideal playing partner. The TP 150 tonearm has an effective mass of 14 grams, can be adjusted in height and azimuth and is equipped with a standard SME connection, which makes it easy to replace the headshell or install a different cartridge. The anti-skatingis adjusted via a nylon thread that runs over a ruby bearing.
