WERSI PERGAMON OAX1000

Three-manual organ in mother of pearl white - the flagship of the OAX series

Demo instrument with slight signs of use

Famous predecessors

The PERGAMON in white follows in the tradition of its renowned predecessors and is set to become an icon in its own right. It is no coincidence that the WERSI organ is the preferred instrument of professional organists.

More than almost any other name, the WERSI brand stands for the extraordinary in musicality, in technology and not least in design. No other instrument underlines WERSI's claim to leadership in international organ building as convincingly as the PERGAMON. The sound experience offered by this organ is as exceptional and breathtaking as its appearance. WERSI has a long-standing tradition of combining quantum leaps in technology with equally significant advances in the art of instrument making. In 1976 it was the Galaxis, in 1989 the Atlantis SN3, in 2001 the LOUVRE and today it is the PERGAMON OAX1000.

Exclusive appearance

The sound experience offered by the PERGAMON is as exceptional and breathtaking as its appearance. It is no coincidence that this flagship organ is the preferred instrument of world-renowned artists. We are also flexible enough to accommodate even unusual requests when it comes to the exterior finish. In addition to the metallic black finish, the organ is also available in mother-of-pearl white or in a custom color of your choice.

Just tell us how you want it to look your very own PERGAMON!

Wersi is a high-tech instrument - far more than just an electronic organ.

Each instrument contains a powerful computer with exceptionally future-oriented software. This software was created by German developers in thousands of hours of work and is constantly being developed further. This makes Wersi one of the few manufacturers to have survived the worldwide demise of the organ industry - and for good reason:

  • A Wersi never has to be sold just because a new model is released.
  • Updates allow it to be brought up to the latest technical and tonal standards at any time.
  • An instrument that grows with you instead of becoming obsolete.

Another unique selling point:

  • Wersi is currently the only musical instrument that is serviced via TeamViewer. Whether in Australia, the USA, Iceland or Europe, many instruments are serviced directly from the development center in Cologne.
  • Wersi combines German engineering, state-of-the-art technology and an update philosophy that is unique worldwide! An instrument for today - and for the future.

Unlimited musicality

This exclusive instrument offers what is possible today in terms of sound quality and playing possibilities, and with an intensity that simply thrills every creative music lover!

Whether you want to play classical music, the great church organ, light music or the latest chart toppers with pulsating beats and synthesizer sounds on your organ: Your PERGAMON does it all and lets you play at the highest tonal level.

Three large manuals with 76 keys, all velocity-sensitive and playable with aftertouch, a velocity-sensitive full pedal with 25 keys and the intuitive control panel with the large central 13.3'' touch display allow you to conduct your orchestra, big band, jazz combo or rock group in real time while you play.

Convince yourself of the quality of the OAX Styles here!

Turn your instrument into a big band with just at the touch of a finger!

A major innovation developed by the Wersi team in Germany currently available exclusively from WERSI.

With the previous WERSI Chord function, all instruments played the same note. However, this does not reflect how a real big band performs. In a big band, instruments such as trumpet, trombone, and saxophone are voiced across a chord, creating a rich, natural ensemble sound.

WERSI Chord Band recreates this effect authentically.

WERSI Chord Band is available separately as a paid upgrade.

WERSI Chord Band is available separately as a chargeable update.

What is special about all Wersi instruments?

The future is called OAX!

The WERSI OAX series is built using the latest technologies, the result of continuous development and close market observation. These instruments once again push the boundaries of what is technically possible.

Full software control of the entire system enables a level of flexibility unmatched by other manufacturers.

Continuous further development

OAX instruments are among the first musical instruments that can be expanded not only in sound but also in functionality via software updates. Completely new features can be added at any time.

This ensures that an OAX instrument remains state-of-the-art even after years of use. A dedicated development team continues to work on enhancements every day.

Extension packages

You can activate 11 expansion packs (as of 07/23) for the instruments in the OAX series. These expansion packs contain new styles, new tones and completely new functions.

The range is constantly being expanded.

You can find the current expansion packages here!

The EASY PLAY concept

When you switch on the instrument, only the most essential controls are displayed. The interface mirrors the layout of the instrument: at the top is the Total Preset for instant changes, followed by the upper manual, lower manual, and finally bass and accompaniment.

Tap a sound on the control panel to open a dedicated page with related instruments. Just like on a modern smartphone, you can move and organize registers intuitively.

You’ll be surprised how easily you can operate the SONIC in EASY MODE no manual required. It’s intuitive, efficient, and lets you focus entirely on enjoying the instrument’s outstanding sound.

PRO Mode

For advanced users, the instrument can be switched to PRO mode, offering significantly expanded capabilities - while still remaining intuitive.

In PRO mode, you can assign up to 16 sounds across the manuals, along with many additional parameters. The Soundpool display always shows how many sounds are still available for assignment.

Create a split for the lower manual and layer multiple sounds independently across different keyboard zones.

WERSI Drawbars

Admittedly, nothing feels better than an organ’s drawbars. That full, tactile sensation when you pull them out is something every organ enthusiast loves. With the WERSI OX7, you can play the classic WERSI sound.

VB3 Drawbar

With the WERSI VB3, you can get remarkably close to the sound of vintage electromechanical organs yes, the unmistakable tone of classic tonewheel instruments. Pull out the drawbars one by one, then switch the rotary speaker from slow to fast, and the sound will blow you away or better yet, right off the organ bench.

SILBERMANN church organ from 1742

The organ built by the renowned Freiberg master Gottfried Silbermann (1683–1753) has stood in the Zöblitz town church since 1742.

Silbermann was paid the standard fee for an organ of this size: 800 thalers, plus an additional 2 thalers and 18 groschen for himself and 4 thalers in tips for his assistants.

You can also play this unique historical church organ on your OAX instrument.

FARFISA Compact

The first portable organ from the Italian manufacturer FARFISA was the Compact series, introduced in 1964.

The red Compact combo organ became the standout model of the series and was used by numerous bands. Its integrated effects give the sound its distinctive character.

Available effects include chorus, echo, scanner vibrato, rotary speaker, and amplifier simulation.

Unique WERSI sound colors

The SONIC impresses not only with its large display and intuitive operation, but above all with its outstanding sounds made possible by newly developed audio boards. Listen to the expressive wind instruments, the convincing grand piano, rich choirs, and lush strings with powerful timpani in the lower register. You’ll also find a wide range of cutting-edge synthesizer sounds typically reserved for high-end instruments. And of course, there are the signature organ sounds controlled via drawbars. There’s something deeply satisfying about slowly pulling them out and shaping the sound in real time. You can also control special sound effects using the aftertouch function available on both manuals of the SONIC. For example, add vibrato to a pan flute with gentle pressure, open filters for synth sounds, or transform trumpet tones into expressive shake effects. It’s something you don’t just hear, you have to feel it.

Fixed drawbar tones

In addition to the adjustable drawbar systems, the instrument includes over 100 preset sounds from legendary WERSI models of the past.

These include analog instruments such as Helios and Galaxis featuring the iconic Klaus Wunderlich sound as well as drawbar tones from the DX series and the classic Spectra and Atlantis sounds from the WERSI CD series.

Fantastic grand piano sounds

Experience the natural, unmistakable sound of a grand piano across a wide range of musical styles, including classical, jazz, musicals, and pop.

With six dynamic layers and an additional soundboard sample set totaling 1 GB of memory, you can reproduce the full dynamic range from delicate pianissimo to powerful fortissimo. A true grand piano experience on the WERSI SONIC.

The electric piano sounds range from vintage Rhodes-style tones to modern electric pianos. Choose a soft, bell-like sound with chorus for a ballad or a punchy electric piano for a pop track.

You can also create particularly rich textures by layering a grand piano with a modern electric piano

Integrated synthesizer

A professional and highly flexible synthesizer is built into the WERSI SONIC. It supports all major synthesis methods, including analog-style synthesis with three oscillators, wavetable synthesis, and FM synthesis.

These synthesis types can be combined and expanded with samples. With over 50 effects such as distortion, echo, chorus, filters, and compression you can refine and shape your sounds in detail.

From powerful analog brass and monophonic lead sounds to evolving pads, motion textures, and complex electronic soundscapes, the possibilities are extensive. In total, more than 400 modern synth sounds are available.

The integrated arpeggiator automatically transforms played chords into complex note sequences.

Legendary strings

Whether for cinematic film scores, sophisticated classical pieces, or emotional ballads, you’ll have access to full symphonic and chamber orchestra sounds including strings, brass, woodwinds, and impressive orchestral percussion at the touch of a button. There’s no need to painstakingly layer individual sounds you can focus entirely on your performance. Conduct and play your SONIC orchestra with inspiration and enjoyment.

Realistic choirs

The SONIC offers exceptionally realistic and expressive choir sounds. With jazzy scat vocals, your swing tracks gain a unique character. Alternatively, use the classical choir sounds, which blend beautifully with the rich string sections to create a truly distinctive sound.

A church organ combined with the “Agnus Dei” choir adds a special brilliance to your Christmas music.

Or choose modern pop vocals for today’s chart hits SONIC always provides the right choir sound for your music.

Real accordion sounds

As soon as you select “Accordion Live,” a realistic accordion register interface appears on the display. When switching between registers, you even hear the characteristic mechanical click.

And then the sound simply outstanding. You’ll find all standard accordion types, including authentic Hohner Morino sounds, the beautiful double-octave combination (4' with 16'), and the rich tone of a Supita accordion.

The iconic French musette accordion features slightly detuned reeds that create its lively, shimmering sound. This makes it ideal for French chansons or the world-famous Styrian button accordion style. The Alpina accordion is particularly well suited for Alpine folk music.

In addition, numerous preset accordion sounds are available for a wide variety of musical styles.

SONIC backing band

The SONIC backing band is based on an advanced chord recognition system, delivering musically refined and highly realistic results.

Equally important are the instrument sounds themselves. The incredibly realistic drum grooves are based on real drum performances recorded in professional studios using multiple microphones.

What would a backing band be without acoustic and electric guitars or an electric piano? You can even add a full brass section to your arrangement all of this is possible with the WERSI SONIC.

With optional expansion packs, styles from other manufacturers can be converted into the WERSI OAX format, giving you access to an extensive range of additional styles.

USER STS presets: Four user STS presets can be saved for each factory style and all self-loaded styles, MIDI sequences and audio files.

Harmony recognition: One-finger WERSI, Easy Mode 1 and 2, Chord Mode, Chord Mode with Bass, Interval Mode, Organist Mode, Pedal Mode, Piano Mode

The VST host

What many manufacturers cannot offer or only with expensive additional hardware the OAX system provides natively: full integration of VST plug-ins. Even factory WERSI plug-ins can be freely routed. For example, you can remove the drum track from the automatic accompaniment and process it through an external effects plug-in. No area of music software has expanded as rapidly in recent years as VST instruments. There is now a vast selection available for virtually every musical style. Sounds from loaded VST instruments can be played via the manuals and used in sequences and styles, provided the plug-in supports multi-timbral operation.

State-of-the-art hardware and software

A newly developed audio board with excellent technical specifications ensures a clear, warm sound.

Based on Windows 11 (64-bit) and powerful PC components including a high-performance CPU, fast 32 GB RAM, and an M.2 SSD the OAX system forms the foundation of a modern, future-ready musical instrument.

With a pair of VOCALIS 120 active loudspeakers (sold separately), the PERGAMON OAX1000LS has even more power!

Wersi SONIC PERGAMON OAX1000LS with additional Vocalis 120 active loudspeakers

Built-in hi-fi amplifier

The PERGAMON has power amplifiers and speakers for bass and mids in the bass console. The tweeters, on the other hand, are built into the top of the cabinet to the right and left of the music stand.

With 2 x 60 watts for the treble in the top section and 2 x 100 watts for the bass and mid-range and high-quality speakers, the PERGAMON offers a pleasant, voluminous sound.

If you want even better sound dispersion, you are advised to connect the VOCALIS or the TS9000. They improve the sound considerably.

VOCALIS and TS9000 speakers

VOCALIS black high gloss

The WERSI Vocalis speakers are characterized by a homogeneous character with a tendency towards brilliance. The mids are well defined and the bass range is calm and balanced. The ribbon transducers in the treble range provide the user with an absolutely high-resolution monitoring signal that perfectly reproduces the transients in the mid and treble spectrum without ever appearing obtrusive, as is unfortunately the case with many other competing systems.

TS9000 Black Metallic

The Wersi TS9000 "Made in Germany" loudspeaker cabinet was developed for the large WERSI instruments and specially designed for the low organ basses. After years of almost unchanged production, the WERSI success model is now back.

The TS9000 offers a room-filling, warm, rich hi-fi sound and a bass sound that gets under your skin. And all crystal clear at any volume. The power amplifier and crossover are optimally matched to the specially selected loudspeaker. The 300 watt power amplifier offers sufficient reserves when you play for a house party.
