The AKG WMS 470 Presenter Set is designed for setting up large multi-channel systems and is highly versatile. It consists of the SR 470 receiver, the PT 470 pocket transmitter, the C 555 L headband microphone and the CK 99 L lavalier microphone.
By boosting frequencies above 10 kHz, the CK 99 L lavalier microphone delivers a very transparent sound and excellent speech intelligibility. Disturbing background noise is effectively suppressed by the cardioid polar pattern and low-frequency roll-off. The microphone can be easily attached to clothing using the supplied clip or the optionally available H 41/1 lapel pin
The headband microphone is very robust, extremely comfortable to wear and offers optimum speech intelligibility. The infinitely adjustable rear headband ensures a comfortable and stable fit. The C 555 L’s condenser microphone can be attached to either the left or right side of the headband. Structure-borne noise is effectively suppressed by an elastic shock absorber.
The SR 470 diversity receiver allows up to 16 channels to be operated simultaneously within a single frequency band. By combining several frequency bands, it is possible to create systems offering absolute operational reliability with up to 48 links. Thanks to the automatic frequency selection, which finds and displays all available channels in a matter of seconds, operation is straightforward even for non-technical users. A pilot tone transmitted with the transmitter signal prevents background noise by ensuring the receiver only passes the audio signal once the transmitter has been detected. The SR 470’s display uses colour changes to indicate critical operating conditions, such as low remaining transmitter battery life, audio signal peaks or low RF field strength.
Instruments and all AKG microphones with a mini-XLR plug can be connected to the PT 470 bodypack transmitter.
