This Decksaver Cover is specifically designed to protect the Korg Electribe 2 synthesizer. Due to this, its perfect fit offers optimal protection against dust, dirt and liquids, thus preserving the life of the equipment.
Since the protective cover is made from transparent polycarbonate, it not only looks great visually, but is also easy to attach and astonishingly durable. Polycarbonate is a robust material used in the production of bulletproof glass. With this in mind, it is no wonder the covers from Decksaver are of a much higher quality than conventional acrylic covers.
Decksaver Korg Electribe 2 CoverThe decksaver appears to be well constructed and strong enough to deflect something of moderate weight dropping on it. It would protect against spills unless you were unlucky enough for them to drip down the back into the connections, but if it covered the connections it would be a pain to have to keep unplugging cables, so I'm happy with this.
It fits well, and looks smart when fitted. Although I've not tried it yet, I would be happy to carry my Electribe in a bag with the decksaver on, perhaps with a large rubber band or strap holding it on - there's no clip or anything to hold it in place, just the way it contours the edges of the Electribe, which is totally fine when it's on a desk, but it wouldn't stay in place on it's own if loose in a bag.
In summary it is a good product. Considering it is a just single moulded piece of polycarbonate it does seem slightly overpriced, but it's not totally ridiculous and is a worthwhile addition to protect your kit.
